And, for my next trick...

Mommy grabbed the camera a little too late to capture all of this, but this morning Annabel scooched and clawed her way (nails need a trim) to her paci and after a lot of manuevering, successfully jammed it in her mouth.

Now if she could jusy pair that with a rollover, we might have something to take on the road!

Built with love!

Annabel had a beautiful nursery, but now it's really special with the addition of the dollhouse bookcase designed and built by master furniture maker Grandpa B.

Grandpa built the bookcase in his shop in Texas with a design that would allow him to deconstruct it and ship it to Annabel so that Daddy could assemble it. He even built the 3 boxes it was shipped in. He included detailed instructions and all the supplies we needed for reassembly. Grandma B painted it to match Annabel's room.

Here's Annabel watching Daddy put the bookcase together.
Here's the finished bookcase in her room. Mommy loaded it up with her toys and books.

And here are pictures of the completed nursery!

What a fun Tuesday!

Nobody likes Mondays, and yesterday was no exception for Annabel! Here is the one of the few non-sad moments from yesterday.

Today was a whole different story. It was fun from the get-go. Annabel is really starting to notice Sophie, Oscar, and Lucy and likes to reach out to pet them. Here's some playtime with Sophie.

Then Jackson (5 1/2) and Olivia (newly 3!) and mom Jen and dad Gary came over for a swim and hot dogs. Annabel took her first dip in the pool. Here she is chillin'.

And drying off in her fish towel.

Happy Independence Day!

It was a rainy 4th of July weekend, so instead of her first trip into the swimming pool, Annabel went shopping instead. Doesn't she look grown up in her new high chair?
Annabel did see her first fireworks with friends Jack and new Baby Emma, at least we think she saw them. It was hard to see behind her stroller's protective rain bubble. Baby Emma stayed dry too while Jack and his parents and Mommy and Daddy huddled under umbrellas.
